Your Day-to-Day
- Oversee and manage the company’s regulatory compliance program related to lending and financing activities.
- Monitor compliance with laws such as AMLA, Financial Services Act (FSA), and other relevant regulations.
- Develop and enforce internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
- Ensure timely reporting and submission to regulatory bodies (e.g., KPKT/KPDNHEP/BNM, SSM, etc.).
- Lead internal compliance audits and risk assessments.
- Evaluate and monitor customer KYC, CDD, and EDD processes.
- Conduct periodic reviews of loan documentation and disbursement processes for compliance gaps.
- Investigate and report suspicious activities; prepare and file STRs.
- Train and educate staff on compliance requirements, including AML/CFT programs.
- Serve as the main liaison with regulators and external auditors on compliance matters.
- Keep management and the Board informed of key compliance risks and developments.
- Support product and business teams to ensure new products/services are compliant before launch.
Requirement
- In-depth knowledge of lending regulations, AMLA, and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) guidelines.
- Familiar with regulatory reporting systems (e.g., MyAML, FRS reporting).
- Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks in financial services.
- Able to design and implement company-wide compliance frameworks.
- Experience with internal audits, compliance reviews, and regulatory inspections.
- Skilled in drafting and enforcing SOPs and governance documents.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- High integrity, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
