Your Day-to-Day
- Develop and implement credit risk policies for Hire Purchase and Dealer Financing products.
- Assess and review credit applications, ensuring alignment with the company's risk appetite.
- Monitor portfolio performance, including delinquency trends, NPL ratios, and vintage analysis.
- Define and adjust risk appetite based on market conditions and portfolio health.
- Conduct regular stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate portfolio resilience.
- Establish early warning systems and risk triggers to detect potential defaults or fraud.
- Collaborate with sales and credit operations to balance risk control and business growth.
- Provide recommendations on risk-based pricing and dealer credit limit structures.
- Develop risk dashboards and reports for management and board-level review.
- Ensure compliance with BNM guidelines and internal governance standards.
- Lead investigations into significant credit or operational risk events and propose corrective actions.
- Support system improvements and automation to enhance risk monitoring and decision-making efficiency.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Accounting, or a related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in credit risk, portfolio risk, or enterprise risk within a bank, NBFI, or fintech lending environment.
- Strong knowledge of credit risk assessment for both individuals (Hire Purchase) and businesses (Dealer Financing).
- Proficient in portfolio monitoring using key metrics like delinquency, NPL, vintage loss, and early warning indicators.
- Familiar with regulatory guidelines, especially BNM standards applicable to lending and risk governance.
- Strong analytical and data skills, with proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or SQL is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with ability to engage sales, operations, and senior leadership.
